Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. The first day serves as an acclimatization period, allowing you to settle in and prepare for the upcoming expedition. A welcome dinner is scheduled for the evening, providing an opportunity for team bonding.
Dedicated to preparation, Day 2 involves a comprehensive briefing at the Ministry of Tourism. You receive vital information and guidance to ensure a smooth and well-informed start to the expedition.
A scenic 7 to 8-hour bus journey from Kathmandu takes you to Bhulbule, offering a glimpse of rural life and diverse landscapes along the way.
The trek officially begins with a 5-hour walk from Bhulbule to Jagat. As you ascend, the surroundings transition from lush forests to charming villages.
The journey progresses from Jagat to Dharapani, a trek through quaint villages and forests. You experience a gradual elevation gain.
Continuing the ascent, Day 6 involves a trek from Dharapani to Koto. The surroundings showcase mesmerizing views of the surrounding mountains.
A trek leads from Koto to Narkhola, introducing you to higher elevations. The trail offers breathtaking vistas and a mix of challenging terrain.
Traversing from Narkhola to Kyang, each step brings you closer to higher elevations. The trek to Kyang offers captivating views and an introduction to the challenges of ascending.
Ascending further, Day 9 involves a trek from Kyang to Phu. The surroundings become more rugged, providing a taste of the challenges of higher elevations.
Climbing from Phu to the Himlung Himal Base Camp at 4850m takes approximately 6 hours. This marks the approach to the expedition’s focal point, providing stunning views along the way.
The next 16 days are dedicated to the ascent of Himlung Himal, reaching the majestic height of 7,126m. The daily itinerary focuses on acclimatization and gradual progression to ensure a successful summit.
After the summit, you descend from the Base Camp to Phu, offering time for reflection on the achievements of the expedition.
The descent continues from Phu to Meta, providing a different perspective as you make your way to lower elevations.
The trek from Meta to Koto takes you through varied landscapes, reflecting the diverse beauty of the region.
A change of pace occurs as you take a jeep ride from Koto to Besishahar, offering comfort and a shift in perspective.
The return journey by bus from Besishahar to Kathmandu provides time for reflection and appreciation of the diverse landscapes encountered during the expedition.
Upon return to Kathmandu, Day 32 involves a debriefing at the Ministry of Tourism, providing an opportunity for you to share experiences and insights.
The expedition concludes with departures from Kathmandu, marking the end of a challenging and rewarding journey to Himlung Himal.
